Hyde Park Handmade Artisan Fair and Farmers Market is a monthly showcase of neighborhood talent featuring artisans from Hyde Park, Kenwood, Woodlawn, Bronzeville and surrounding communities. Urban farms from every corner of Chicago will also be featured as well as rural farmers with products that are difficult to grow or raise in the city.

Hyde Park Handmade's events will take place at the Promontory restaurant's second-floor cocktail lounge at 5311 S. Lake Park West (behind the Akira). 
We are looking for vendors that make:

• handmade jewelry

• knitwear/crochet

• clothing

• accessories

• home goods

• body scrubs/lotions

• specialty foods

• urban farms

• the unique

The Hyde Park Handmade Artisan Fair focuses on "handmade" so we're not looking for re-sellers or vintage. The goods sold should be original work of the artisans or grown by the farmer. Present your case on your application if you have a unique concept. Non-profit community groups that work in the areas of the arts or nutrition for Chicago communities are encouraged to present themselves and we would love to work out a way to promote you and your program. Did we mention we offer booths spaces at half price to non-profits that have products to sell? Free space is available to non-profits who want to promote their arts- and food-related projects. 

Artisans from other Chicago neighborhoods are encouraged to apply if you have a unique product - and if you have any connections to Hyde Park (you work here, you or your kids go to school here) please mention that on your application as that will increase your chances of being accepted.

Space is limited so all applications will be juried. Each monthly market is an individual event and will be juried as separate events. No vendors will be considered without having filled out the application by deadline - even if you've done the markets before.
